856III Wheel Loader and 936LC Excavator - Tapegyseg Co. – Hungary

2013-08-22
Hello. I am Attila Kriska, 48 years old, and I have worked in construction for 25 years. I work for Tapegyseg Co. at its construction waste recycling depot in the South Industry Zone, located at Budapest Free Port. This reclamation site is the biggest within the Budapest district and is very busy because of the regeneration of the older areas of the city and its roads.

Construction and demolished materials are transported here by road and sorted according to type. General non-building waste like plastic and glass is extracted during the waste material sorting stage. The remaining waste can take the form of road surface material, sections of demolished concrete buildings, bricks, stone and soil. We have the facilities here to crush and grade all types of waste. These are then stockpiled and can be used to produce aggregate and much more. Reinforcing steel is also extracted and recycled.

One of the machines, that we had from new, has reached 8,000 hours. The other is a former demonstrator and has 5,000 working hours. The 936LC excavator has registered 6,000 hours and is very, very good

There are 12 people employed full time at this facility. My position is operating a LiuGong 856III wheel loader. This is not the first time I have worked with a LiuGong machine. The first was in 2006 using an 856II. That was a good machine. Of course, the new version is better: cab comfort and steering response has improved. It also looks a lot better. The quality of the components is still good and areas that need routine checks are still accessible – the LiuGong machines are also solidly built.

The LiuGong 856III is perfect for this type of work. This is why we have another machine of the same type, but with a slightly bigger loading bucket. We also have a LiuGong 936LC excavator on this site. We use it a lot for breaking down large stone and concrete sections with an Everdigm Rhino breaker attachment. In two years we have not had a problem with this machine. All of the machines here are working 10-11 hours a day, six days a week. Csaba Beres, site manager for the Tapegyseg Ltd recycling site, added: “We have had no major problems with the 856-model wheel loaders. One of the machines, that we had from new, has reached 8,000 hours. The other is a former demonstrator and has 5,000 working hours. The 936LC excavator has registered 6,000 hours and is very, very good.

"The three machines are proving to be cheap to run. Fuel consumption has proved to be excellent now the engines have loosened up. The wheel loaders have also shown they are as powerful as competitor machines and have no problems dealing with the different types of materials we grade and store.

"Buying LiuGong has been a good decision. Their specification is, of course, important. But the main reasons for buying were: the price versus quality ratio, our previous experience with LiuGong machinery, and dealing with the LiuGong supplier Best Machinery Kft. – especially its aftercare service.”

Best Machinery’s Commercial Director and Division Manager for earthmoving machinery, Herbszt László, commented further on the relationship with Tapegyseg Ltd. “We are obviously very pleased with Tapegyseg Ltd’s decision to take delivery of three LiuGong machines. The company’s Free Port reclamation site is a perfect example where LiuGong machinery works perfectly in the roles they were designed and built for. It is also very pleasing to hear that the levels of service and aftercare given by Best Machinery were also an influence in the buying decision.”
